Description
O/C possibly attributed to John B. Neagle (Amer.1796-1865). Accompanying note: "Son of Major John Lilly and Elizabeth Vose of Milton, Mass. He spent most of his life in New Orleans, where he sold marine compasses. His children moved to England where this portrait hung for many years". Period gilt frame with wear, patina character.
