Art historian, curator, and writer Graciela Kartofel spent her decades-long career studying Latin American contemporary artists, a deep passion that shone through her personal collecting. Dr. Kartofel is the author of over 50 books and has collaborated with many prominent institutions such as the National Library of France, the Library at MoMA, and the Library of Congress to integrate Mexican publications into their collections. At a time when the art market largely ignored Latin American artists, Kartofel championed their work, particularly that of young emerging artists.
